Retro Fitness Annapolis is a results-oriented health club and we are about to implement the Pro-Fitness Program (ProFitnessProgram.com) which is one of the most recognized and respected fitness programs in North America. Clubs offering this program are about professional fitness or pro-fitness; meaning pro-education, pro-results and pro-service. Facilities that offer this program no longer concentrate on simply selling memberships and showcasing the facility, but focus on getting their members results! 

We’re looking for a passionate Personal Training Director (PTD) who wants to work for the innovative industry leader and be part of a team that is focused on making a real difference in people’s lives. The PTD is responsible for contributing to the overall production and financial success of the PT department.

The PTD will assist in cultivating and leading a positive, team-centered work environment that delivers on company goals. You will be a team player, have a “Whatever It Takes attitude”, provide a good representation of the club at all times, will be enthusiastic, willing to learn our results based Pro Fitness Program, be reliable and willing to go above and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for achieving or exceeding monthly revenue and session goals
  • Attend and participate in PT Department, all club, and One-on-One meetings
  • Responsible for training, managing, and developing a high-quality team of personal trainers in a way that enables them to reach their full potential
  • Responsible for creating communication mechanisms for staff that enables two-way dialogue and provides them with timely and accurate information pertaining to company and club goals, programs, promotions, and policies
  • Assist in managing an efficient fitness department whereby day-to-day operations run smoothly, company-wide policies are followed consistently, and problems are resolved in an effective and timely manner
  • Manage the new member integration program ensuring that complimentary introductory fitness sessions are provided in a timely manner
Qualifications

  • Sales experience required
  • Proven leadership ability in an educational, fitness or professional settings
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales both personally and through support of membership staff Enthusiastic, energetic, personable and friendly as well as passionate, intelligent and knowledgeable regarding the fitness industry.
  • Hire, direct and train staff 
  • Excellent communication, time management, organizational and follow-up skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing and growing a personal training client base
  • Demonstrated ability to hit budgets/goals
  • Current national personal training certification
  • Ability to work with and recruit trainers for all types of training (private, group, etc)
  • Computer literacy
