As the Group Fitness Coordinator, he/she is responsible in assisting the Retro Fitness outlet’s management in the administration and delivery of the Group Exercise Program.

Responsibilities of Group Fitness Coordinator
⦁ Assist in the training, selection, supervision and quarterly evaluations of the Group X fitness instructors.
⦁ Foster professional standards amongst instructors and members.
⦁ Coordinate and maintain the Group X Fitness schedule.
⦁ Continued building of class participation.
⦁ Teach and substitute for applicable group fitness classes.
⦁ Stay ahead of current, new, & popular fitness trends and configure how to implement them in facility’s fitness program.
⦁ Planning and assistance with coordinating of special group fitness events.
⦁ Promoting of all facility activities to members and staff.
⦁ Ensuring announcements are made before and after each class.
⦁ Monthly assessments of Group X room and equipment for safety.
⦁ Working hand in hand with management to promote events inside facility and outside within local community.
Environment
⦁ Working environment consists of mainly inside but also outside the Retro Fitness Outlet. Working hours could vary and include mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications for Group Fitness Coordinator
⦁ Current Group Fitness certification/multiple specialized certifications preferred.
⦁ CPR/AED certification.
⦁ Ability to motivate members towards participating in Group X Fitness classes.
⦁ Strong desire to help and assist members in reaching their overall health and fitness goals.
⦁ Successful completion of all Retro University courses.
⦁ Following company policies & procedures.
